Sarah Ashley Barnett

 

Sarah Ashley is a recent graduate of the University of Richmond School of Law, where she served as Manuscripts Editor on the University of Richmond Law Review and worked as a student attorney in the Intellectual Property and Transactional Law Clinic.  While in law school, Sarah Ashley interned with the Union County District Attorney’s Office and the United States District Attorney’s Office for the Western District of North Carolina in Charlotte.  In 2016, she was awarded a McMillan Fellowship by the Mecklenburg County Bar.  She was also featured as a student author in Richmond Law Review’s 2017 January Book.  Upon graduating, Sarah Ashley earned the Pro Bono Certification Award for completing over 120 hours of pro bono service and public interest work.

 

Sarah Ashley graduated with honors from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington in 2014.  During college, she worked as a pharmaceutical litigation paralegal for two years.

 

In September 2018, Sarah Ashley will begin a one-year judicial clerkship with the Honorable Max. O. Cogburn, Jr. on the United States District Court for the Western District of North Carolina.
